Essence Number
The number of a specific year in your life, formed by adding together the name letters currently transiting — the internal counterpart to the Personal Year.
The Essence Number and the Personal Year describe the same twelve months from opposite directions. The Personal Year comes from your birth date and describes what the year will do to you — the external weather. The Essence comes from your name, via the letters currently in transit, and describes what is happening inside you while it does. Numerologists read the two together, and the relationship between them is the actual reading.
When the Essence and the Personal Year agree, the year tends to feel coherent: the inner and outer conditions point the same way, and things move with unusual ease.
